The Product
What is the Vyla Labs Peptide Hair Serum?
It is a lightweight, leave-in scalp serum formulated with five studied actives: Sh-Polypeptide-1, Saw Palmetto Extract, Arginine HCL, Scutellaria Baicalensis, and Sh-Oligopeptide-10. Each ingredient was selected for a specific, documented mechanism — not because it was trending. The formula is designed to support hair follicle signalling, inhibit DHT conversion, improve scalp microcirculation, protect against oxidative stress, and support keratin architecture.
Who formulated it?
Our founder holds a BPharm and an MSc in Pharmaceutical Science, with academic research focused on transdermal delivery. Every ingredient decision is made through the lens of bioavailability, mechanism, and evidence — not marketing.
Is it suitable for all hair types?
Yes. The serum is designed for the scalp, not the hair shaft. It is lightweight, fragrance-free, and suitable for all hair types and textures. It is particularly beneficial for women experiencing thinning, shedding, or reduced density — regardless of hair type.
How do I use it?
Apply 3–4 drops to dry or slightly damp scalp. Warm between fingertips. Press — not rub — into the scalp in sections. Do not rinse. Use once daily, preferably in the evening. Consistency matters: the actives work cumulatively over weeks, not hours.
When will I see results?
Hair biology is slow. The growth cycle operates over months, not days. Most users report noticeable changes in shedding and density between 8–12 weeks of consistent use. We will not promise faster — because the biology doesn’t support it.
Is it safe to use on colour-treated or chemically processed hair?
Yes. The formula is applied to the scalp and does not interact with hair colour or chemical treatments.
Does it contain fragrance, silicones, or parabens?
No fragrance. No silicones. No parabens. The formula is built around actives — ingredients that serve a function. What you don’t see in the ingredient list is as deliberate as what you do.
Orders & Shipping
Where do you ship?
We ship to the United States, Canada, most of Europe, Australia, and additional international destinations. Shipping rates are calculated at checkout based on destination and package weight.
How long does shipping take?

The Science
Why does transdermal delivery matter for a scalp serum?
Ingredients that don’t penetrate the skin barrier cannot reach the hair follicle. The follicle sits in the dermis — below the surface. A serum that sits on top of the scalp and evaporates is delivering nothing to the cells that matter. Our formulation approach prioritises bioavailability: getting the actives past the barrier and to the target structure.
What is DHT and why does it matter?
DHT (dihydrotestosterone) is a hormone derived from testosterone via the enzyme 5-alpha reductase. In genetically susceptible follicles, elevated DHT causes the hair growth cycle to shorten progressively — producing finer, shorter hairs over time until the follicle miniaturises. Saw Palmetto Extract has been studied for its ability to inhibit this conversion, offering a botanical approach to the same pathway targeted by pharmaceutical DHT blockers.
Can I read the research behind the ingredients?
Yes. We write about the science behind each active in our journal. We will always link to primary research where we reference it. The science is not decoration — it is the product.
